Why I now want a Zeo

The last two nights I’ve taken 2.5 mg of melatonin before going to bed at around 11 PM.

I’ve also woken up around 2-3 AM.

Last night, I answered some emails, then decided to try going back to sleep for like 3 hours. After I gave up, I wrote like a madman, and drafted 3 nontrivial blog posts in like, 2.5 hours, did some research, made some connections, then took a nap.

And then I did a few other things.

So tonight, I’m going to try riding this out. I’m up at like 2:30, so I should try and see if I can just produce for 6 hours straight before my day would normally come anywhere near starting.

It seems like melatonin splits my day in two.

But if I had a zeo, then I could at least tell if I’m getting enough REM.

(P.S. If you haven’t already, you should try checking out melatonin. I’m really bad at falling asleep, but I’ve had no trouble while I’ve been doing melatonin. If it works well for you, it’s worth a shot.)
